Seven Features of the New

The IWU Alumni Association aims to engage with alumni, develop resources and promote the university. With the unveiling of the new app (available through this link), Alumni and Friends have access to a multitude of great features!

Since there are so many helpful and interesting things to see on the app, take a look at our TOP SEVEN elements of the IWU Alumni News Feed app:

1.) Social media at your fingertips!

Easily view IWU Alumni’s Facebook and Twitter accounts through the menu icons titled “Twitter” and “Facebook”. You will never have to waste time searching through your social media streams for Alumni information ever again.

2.) Listen to Chapel Podcasts!

By clicking on the “IWU Podcast” menu icon, you will be ushered to the podcast section of iTunes, specifically the IWU Chapel podcast. You may subscribe or listen to to single episodes for FREE! Keep up to date with what is happening in the students’ life and on campus by listening to chapel sermons from the Dean of the Chapel, various ministry leaders and even Alumni! Through this podcast you can even listen to The Summit services and World Changers Ceremonies.

3.) FREE Things and Special Offers!

There are 3 different ways to utilize the benefits of being an IWU Alumni through this app. The “Services” menu icon directs you to a list of different opportunities and services available for IWU Alumni such as: the EDGE Mentoring Program, IWU logo License Plates for Indiana Residents and Yearbooks (to name a few). The “IWU Alumni Loyalty Program” menu icon shows lists of stores and organizations that will allow IWU Alumni to have a punch card (through the app) to unlock special deals and discounts on products! The “IWU Alumni Discount” menu icon shows coupons for various places. Right now, take 10% off at the IWU Campus Bookstore through the Tree of Life Bookstore!

4.) See Photos & IWU Video Streams!

View photos easily in one place — the “Photos” menu icon will show multiple albums of photos that showcase our university and IWU Alumni events. The “IWU Video” menu icon has three tabs — IWU Video Stream (various videos put out by IWU), WIWU TV 51 (the school’s tv station, run by students!), and IWU Wildcats (sports updates)

5.) Be in the know!

Stay up-to-date on what’s going on in the lives of IWU Alumni, students, and our campuses through the “News” menu icon! There are four tabs at the top of the “News” section — Prez (President Wright’s blog), News (The IWU Alumni Newsletter), Alum (The IWU Alumni Blog), and Career (The Career Development Office’s Blog). I especially recommend the IWU Alumni Blog, however all of these news sources will keep you informed about your alma mater — especially when you are missing the good ol’ days at IWU (or Marion College!).

6.) Connect with other Alumni!

It is now easier than ever to get connected with fellow IWU Alumni and Friends! Click on the “Events” menu icon to see official Alumni get-togethers and networking events. The “Get Plugged In To Networking” menu icon right next to it will lead you to the official IWU Alumni LinkedIn Group.

7.) Show your Alma Mater some love!

Do you want current IWU students to have a meaningful time during their college careers? Consider helping out by clicking the “Support IWU” menu icon. You can learn how to support IWU by attending events, volunteering, supporting spiritually and supporting financially. You can also use the “Refer a Student” icon to help our Admissions Office know of young people our Alumni consider great choices for admission to IWU.
