Alumnus promoted to Director at Good Samaritan

Sherri Joyce was promoted to director of nursing for medical-surgical and behavioral health services at TriHealth’s Good Samaritan Hospital. As a Good Samaritan employee for over 20 years, Ms. Joyce began as a staff nurse on the orthopedics and med-surg unit, became charge nurse, and was then promoted to nurse manager for med-surg and rehabilitation units. Her position requires monitoring and assuring positive patient outcomes including quality data and patient satisfaction while maintaining productivity in a financially responsible manner. As director, she works with the managers and educators of the medical surgical inpatient floors, inpatient orthopedic unit, inpatient rehabilitation unit, and behavioral health units to ensure high quality of care resulting in positive patient outcomes with high patient satisfaction. She supports managers and staff in continued process improvements and implementation of new evidence based practices based on the latest research findings. She is a Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing graduate, received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and will be graduating with her master’s degree in March from South University.
