Lisa Toth double majored at IWU in Psychology and Addictions Counseling and minored in Health and Promotional Wellness. She graduated in December of 2012 with her bachelor’s degree. Toth is currently a mental health counselor at Park Center, Inc. located in Fort Wayne, IN.

Toth’s older brother attended IWU, which led her to visit the university, as she felt comfortable there. She loved the location of the university and the atmosphere of campus, especially McConn.

During her time at Indiana Wesleyan University, Toth was involved in many activities on the residential campus. “During my time at Indiana Wesleyan University, I studied, hung out at McConn and engaged in recreational activities, such as Turbo Kick. I developed some great friendships and truly enjoyed my time there as a student,” she said.

She also participated in many “midnight finals screams” during the week of exams and won two Bowman Boat Races for her Residence Hall unit. Toth also participated in “IWU Remix”, a since-retired dance team that performed at half-time during Basketball games.

Toth said that her chapel experience, as well as her worship experience at IWU was enjoyable, and she especially enjoyed having Francis Chan speak during chapel. She also enjoyed being a part of the mentoring program in Beckett (North) hall.

While there was a lot of fun that happened at IWU, Toth explained that it changed her in other ways too, “My time at IWU helped me learn, grow, and develop into the person I am today. After graduation, I completed graduate school at IWU also. The professors I had in both undergrad and grad school helped me to excel and prepared me for the helping profession that I am in now. I was able to take what I learned in my field of study and apply it to my current job.”
